About You
I am looking to recruit an Assistant Works Manager with the overall purpose of the role being to maintain a disciplined, productive and safe environment for employees to work together to achieve both company, site and individual targets.
Hours: 40 Hours a week.
Start: ASAP
Salary: up to £37k depending on experience

Principle Duties & Responsibilities
  • Involvement in setting site financial & non - financial objectives and targets.
  • Management of all site personnel; including communication, appraisal, disciplinary, and day to day supervision.
  • Regular contact and communication to direct all site shift leaders.
  • Management and reporting of site performance and other information.
  • Direct day-to-day involvement of the management of the company's technical, quality and engineering activity.
  • Involvement in maintaining high standard H&S environment compliance within operational areas.
  • Management of customer service and maintaining and expanding existing business by direct contact with customers.
  • Care and security of the building and employees.
  • Developing production capacity.
  • Improving personnel capability through application of process training and education.
  • Contributing to change and improvement to services, products and systems.
  • Planning, monitoring and controlling the use of resources with budget and recommending expenditure.
  • Performs other duties as directed by position or required by the Works Manager.
Education, Skills and Experience
  • As successful candidate, you will have production and sales experience in previous employment.
  • Strong continuous improvements problem solving skills
  • Experience in managing change within an organisation.
  • Extensive customer awareness. We offer full training to the successful candidate but some working experience in a similar environment is expected.
  • Defined contribution pension plan between 3-10%.
  • 4x salary life assurance if employee is a member of pension plan.
  • 2x salary life assurance if employee is not a member of pension plan.
  • 25 days plus bank holidays.
