Job Description

An opportunity has arisen to join the world's leading source of intelligent business information who provide insight into the tax and accounting, finance and risk, legal and media markets. Based in their thriving Nottingham office, you will be a Lead Release Engineer utilising DevOps technology and working closely with their Development and QA Teams.

You will be responsible for supporting the stability and quality of applications through the implementation of change control processes, tools and environments. You will support the execution of change management, software configuration management and release management functions for their software applications and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, recommend and implement automation framework in all aspects of software delivery
  • Drive change across the team to embrace the automation framework
  • Ongoing review, enhancement and development of software delivery automation framework
  • Convert the source code repository from SVN to Git
  • Collaborate with Application Architects to design, implement and build an automated deployment solution
  • Collaborate with QA teams to integrate application test automation
  • Work actively within the infrastructure team to introduce deployment and application monitoring
  • Collaborate with the application and operations teams to automate release notes and the distribution of client builds


  • Unix Scripting experience (experience with Shell/bash/Perl)
  • Confident working with web application delivery and building web applications (Maven/Jenkins)
  • Experience with Github and Espeon, ideally on migrations between the two
  • Exposure to a corporate infrastructure environment
  • Experience with Java would be beneficial
