Job Description

LOCATION: Binbrook, commutable from Market Rasen, Louth, Grimsby, Lincoln.

JOB TITLE: Commercial Coordinator

SALARY & BENEFITS: Salary to be determined - based on experience and capability. Following successful probationary period, benefits include membership of company sick pay scheme and stakeholder pension scheme (subject to joining criteria)

WORKING HOURS: Normal working hours are between 08:30am and 17:00pm each day of the week from Monday to Thursday and 08:30 am and 16:00pm on a Friday (inclusive), with 1/2 hour for lunch (unpaid), making a total of 39 hours (paid) per week


This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and hardworking Commercial Coordinator to join a multi-national distributor of rGrade plastic raw material.

You will be assisting the home-based commercial function by effective generation of new business, processing of customer enquiries and delivering reports.

Key Responsibilities to include:-

  • Generating new business by searching online for prospective opportunities and then following up with cold calls

  • Logging details of prospective opportunities and forwarding enquiry to the Commercial Manager, gaining feedback and updating the database

  • Generating reports/facts and figures for monthly meetings

  • Acknowledging and logging incoming web enquiries

  • Giving advice, guidance and information on materials when receiving incoming calls

  • Distributing all commercial calls where necessary

  • Undertaking all appropriate co-ordination and administration work before, during and after events


Established in 2000, our client is a multinational distributor of rGrade plastic raw materials with customer bases throughout the UK, mainland Europe and Asia. All materials are sourced from within the UK and Ireland either through our clients own Recycling facilities or established recycling partners. All materials are graded according to quality and supplied to customers with confidence.


To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to work on your own as well as within a team. You will be able to work effectively in a busy, demanding open-office environment and be highly organised, efficient and an excellent communicator.

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the role:-

  • Advanced computer skills, with the ability to use Microsoft Office and Excel effectively

  • Have the ability to logically problem solve and resolve issues constructively and diplomatically

  • Previous experience of generating business through cold calling is desirable

  • Having basic knowledge of the plastics industry is advantageous
