As a Test Lead your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  • Strong track record within testing and quality assurance
  • Excellent knowledge of testing methodologies, industry standards, and tools. Formal certification (eg ISEB) would be advantageous
  • Core project management skills: planning, issue & risk management, reporting, co-ordination of resources, and financial management
  • Knowledgeable in contractual acceptance and commercially aware
  • Ability to mentor and support less experienced test resources

As a Test Lead your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Define the overall test approach for end-to-end application solutions and manage the execution of the testing. Including; Unit, System Integration, User Acceptance, Pre-Production, Volume, Regression, Penetration and Operational and Functional Acceptance test
  • Define the correct and appropriate utilisation of testing tools for each project or Programme
  • Liaise with technical architects and technical leads for required technical support during the planning, execution and evaluation of the testing
  • Understand the high level E2E business and technical requirements and intended implementation.
  • Work with different internal technical groups and vendors to ensure sufficient test coverage and quality.
  • Act as single point of contact for the quality of the solution at any given stage
  • Coordinate and arrange necessary test resources and infrastructure for testing
  • Ensure projects and programme testing is conducted in line with the in house methodology
