Job Description

A great opportunity has arisen with one of our global multidisciplinary consultancies to join their busy water environment team in Altrincham. The ideal candidate will be ambitious and already have experience in this area.

You will be needed to assist with water quality assessment work. The projects undertaken by the team are wide ranging, in terms of sector and technical scope.

The main responsibilities include:
*Water Quality input into Environmental Impact Assessments.
*Water quality baseline studies, technical input to feasibility / risk assessments, and options appraisals.
*WFD Appraisals, with a particular emphasis on hydromorphology and how this might impact water body ecology (river, lake and coastal experience useful).
*Pollution prevention advice, Pollution Prevention Control Plans / Water Management Plans / Silt Management Plans.
*SUDS advice with respect to treatment of diffuse urban pollutants; Flood Defence Consents.
*Marine Licence Applications; and Water conservation measures advice.
To be considered, you should have the following:

*Good project management skills
*Excellent report writing
*Stakeholder engagement/consultation
*Excellent communications skills
*Experience collecting/analysing water and sediment samples, surveying or water quality modelling
*GIS skills
*Experience working with Water Utilities and/or Environment Agency
