Job Description

LOCATION: Hastings, St Leonards on Sea, Battle, Bexhill, Northiam and Fairlight

JOB TITLE: Support Worker

SALARY & BENEFITS: £ 14,604 (pro rata for part time staff), + 28 days annual leave entitlement including bank holidays, DBS check, paid training and development, salary enhancements for weekends and bank holidays, contributory pension scheme, child care vouchers and employee assistance scheme.

WORKING HOURS: Full Time and Part Time

Our client is currently looking for people who are committed to providing individualised and person-centred support which enables people to live their daily lives at home, maintain their health and develop new skills and build full and meaningful lives through a range of activities at home and in the community

The Key Responsibilities for the role:-

  • Assisting the people we support with all aspects of personal care
  • Supporting people to be as active as they want in the community
  • Enabling the people we support to carry out all the tasks involved in daily living
  • Assisting with preparing meals, shopping, appointments

Our client values their support staff and provides professional training and great support as well as opportunities for development. You may have experience of care work, including personal care, either in a work environment or caring for friends or relatives. If not they can support you to learn.

Key skills and experience required:-

  • Due to the nature of the role, you must be over the age of 18.
  • Previous experience within the Care industry is desirable
  • Applicants will have a Full UK driving licence and access to transport
  • Physically fit and able to perform
  • Empathy, caring and sensitivity to the needs of others.
  • Flexibility required to cover unsociable hours and weekends
