Job Description

The Head Teacher of this successful, happy and caring school wish to appoint a dedicated and dynamic teacher to join their team for long term maternity cover, covering a Year 5 class.
This is a small school with a one form entry and a family feel to their environment.
The school sees education as more than simply academic achievement and places importance on health and physical fitness issues. A high priority is also placed on the ability to relate to others, to respect individuality, difference and to behave in a socially acceptable way.

Ideally my client is looking for a teacher that has completed their induction however this is not essential.

The successful candidate:
* Has recent experience in teaching Primary KS2, ideally in a Year 5 classroom setting
* Is creative and can inspire learning opportunities for pupils in a stimulating and vibrant learning environment
* Has high expectations for all children
* Has excellent standards of spoken and written English
* Is able to work as part of a team and foster positive relationships with staff, pupils, parents & carers.
* Is willing to participate fully in all aspects of school life.
* Will make a significant contribution to the school.
* Is an excellent communicator, with good organisational, written and interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will be able to adapt quickly to their role, have an excellent understanding of the national curriculum with a strong classroom presence and enjoys planning/teaching lessons which have interesting topics and a range of activities to keep the students engaged.
