Job Description

Our Bracknell based client is currently seeking to appoint an experienced "MORTGAGE Compliance Advisor" to their superb Financial Services team.

PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE "Mortgage Compliance" experience up to date.

The successful applicant will support the Compliance Officer in the provision of regulatory advice to the business in relation to activities including, but not limited to, regulated mortgage contracts and consumer credit lending.
You will provide Compliance input into business projects, ensuring due consideration is given to the delivery of fair outcomes for customers.
In addition you will assist the Investigation Officer in Operational Risk as and when necessary to ensure that the firm continues to meet its legal and regulatory obligations to counter the risk of its being used for the purposes of financial crime.

It is hugely important and non-negotiable that your background and experience reflects the following:

  • Financial services knowledge and experience, including in relation to the provision of regulated advice and financial promotions
  • Sound understanding of both the mortgage and consumer credit markets and their regulation
  • Ability to analyse and interpret the FCA Handbook and provide advice thereon
  • Working knowledge of the regulatory requirements relating to the prevention of financial crime
  • Experience of providing technical compliance advice to business units
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to communicate, negotiate and influence at all levels
  • Track record in relationship management
  • Sound commercial skills and credibility
  • Accustomed to using own initiative and to being pro-active in seeking solutions


Skills/Qualifications:

  • Possession of a professional industry-related qualification, e.g. CeMap, FPC
  • Presentation skills
