Job Description

LOCATION: Ringwood, Bournemouth UK

JOB TITLE: Branch Manager

SALARY & BENEFITS: Circa £40k Plus company car, pension, lap top, bonus scheme (up to 50%), private health, SAYE share scheme, staff discount and various other benefits.

WORKING HOURS: Full Time - 40Hours

THE COMPANY: Our client is the largest supplier of janitorial and cleaning products in the UK. They are a FTSE 100 company which successfully operates in 26 countries throughout the world. They are now looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to work at their 5 million turnover branch in Bishop's Stortford.

THE ROLE: Reporting to the Regional Director, you will be responsible for the day to day management of a busy operation coupled with building and leading your team to strive for further success whilst ensuring relationships with both customers and employees are further developed.

An important part of your role will be to manage and deliver exceptional customer service to the larger accounts in the business while possessing the skills and attributes to grow the branch and continue to build a profitable business in line with key financial targets and company strategy.

  • Day to day running of the branch.
  • Develop sales and distribution plans to achieve budget
  • Ensure that branch operational costs are maintained within budget
  • Develop and implement sales plan that is focussed upon gaining new customers and expanding business levels with existing customers
  • Instil a customer service ethic throughout the branch so that queries are dealt with efficiently.
  • Leading by example and promoting company's business personality.
  • Motivating the team to achieve the branch financial targets.
  • Managing and organising the team to meet operational needs.
  • Actively identifying own and branch team training needs.

THE CANDIDATE: You will be driven, self-motivated with the ability to drive your team to achieve and exceed targets. You will be proficient in the management of high volume sales data and be able to present this information clearly. Experience within this industry is not essential for this role as our client is really looking for the candidate with the right skills and attributes to succeed in this position.

  • You will need proven experience in a successful sales position
  • Experience of managing / leading a team
  • Highly ambitious and driven characteristics
  • Demonstrates the ability to develop/apply KPI's to measure and improve operational and sales performance
  • Experience of commercial aspects to a business
