Senior Project Manager

Location: West Midlands

Are you a Senior Project manager with a wealth of multidisciplinary experience in Rail infrastructure and Design?

I am currently recruiting for one of the most renowned consultancies in the Design and Infrastructure across the Rail market. The business are looking for a seasoned project manager that can drive and deliver excellent results.

Working with our world class team of dynamic engineers and designers, this role will cover an extremely wide variety of nationally important projects both in the UK and overseas.

Role

Managing the successful design and delivery of multidisciplinary projects with proven management and leadership abilities.
Determining the project management requirements from client brief.
Sharing knowledge, best practice and innovation across our business, providing guidance, training and feedback with other related disciplines and skills, locally and across the UK.
Managing your own personal development utilising our in house and external training opportunities, with the freedom to work independently. To be a free thinker

Requirements

Essential

Highly competent in the project management of multiple multidisciplinary rail feasibility, scheme and detailed design projects (including enhancements, remodelling, renewals, depots, stations, platform, resignalling and electrification).
Prior experience acting as a design & build project manager, highly competent in commercial and contract management, change management, financial control and delivery to programme.
Knowledge of the use of project controls software (Microsoft Project, Primavera Project Planner).
Highly competent understanding of the safety process and the interfaces between the design and manufacturing and installation.
Leading the preparation of competitive tender submission/bids.

Desirable

Experience of Contractors Engineering Manager (CEM)
Track record of management, motivation and develop the skills of team members at all grades learning on the job providing guidance, training and feedback and recommending appropriate training.
Competent in the production of project control tools and use of financial reporting processes in business reporting to senior management.
Knowledge and experience in associated railway infrastructure

Qualifications

HND/Degree qualified
Chartered/Incorporated member of the ICE, IET or APM or similar would be an advantage.
