Paraplanner/Advisor                                          BUCKINGHAMSHIRE

UP TO £40000

This successful Buckinghamshire based practice has a role that could provide a technically skilled paraplanner with a demanding and satisfying role.

The role supports the financial advisers in carrying out high quality research on a full range of financial planning products and services, adhering to the Firm’s processes and compliance framework.

Principal accountabilities

  • Gather background information, identify and recommend product/provider and obtain illustrations and evidence to support the research to facilitate a response to a client enquiry
  • Extensively research client circumstances, analyse output to identify opportunities to improve the clients position including full product and fund research and provide possible solutions
  • Produce suitability letters and maintain the suitability report library
  • Pass cases to the admin team for processing ensuring all files are made up in the prescribed format
  • Ensure each sale is compliant and compliant files are maintained
  • Communicate professionally to client queries by telephone, email or face to face
  • Attend joint client meetings on occasion
  • Aid advisers in achieving new business targets as set and reviewed periodically by identifying any new business opportunities
  • Identify new business from existing clients, working closely with advisers and manager to maximise any opportunities company wide
  • Act in accordance with applicable legislation.  E.g. Financial Services, Data Protection, Money Laundering etc and alert Operations Manager of any compliance issues.
  • Maintain company procedures.
  • Keep new business workflows up-to-date and chase advisers on business ready to write
  • Assist in new business campaigns.
  • Maintain and update CRM
  • Assist in any project work needed
  • Assist all staff with planning and technical issues on an ad-hoc basis

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or CFP / AFPC (Advanced Financial Planning Certificate).
  • Able to analyse and interpret data, evaluate data
  • Relevant experience within the financial industry
